Why Is It So Hard To Lose Weight?

I don't know why it is so hard to lose weight. I mean no one wants to be fat and it's no mystery how the condition can be avoided. All one needs to do is to eat less and possibly exercise.

I weighed in at 176.6 this morning. That is 6.2 pounds down from my starting weight and keeps me on course for 1 pound per week. On the BMI scale I will be obese until I hit 169 where I will merely be overweight. YeeHaa.

Of course I haven't been following the Mediterranean diet much. I have been eating more vegetables, fruit and salad for sure but that's about it. And I am definitely cutting down on the intake. I have had no fish and very little meat. The good thing is I am saving a ton of money by not eating out at restaurants all the time. I go to Harris Teeter a lot since it is in walking distance of my home. It is a new Harris Teeter in the old Belle Meade Theater location and I hear it is not doing so well. I mean the store is awesome but it's like no one has found it yet. There is never anyone in there. Recently they cut their prices in half for the salad bars and sandwiches and it's a really good deal now. They have a salad and Asian bar that's great for 2.99/lb. I can get a salad for under $5. They also have foot long subs for 2.99. And they have a Starbucks there and plenty of seating. And they have free Internet and magazine/book/paper racks for hanging out. Please visit the store and spend some money there. I have heard rumors already it might have to close from a lack of customers. I went there today. The pic is from the 2nd floor loft where I ate lunch.
